In regards to the change made to the Wraith microphone, I think it went the opposite direction of what was intended when the item was created.

When the words "stage microphone" are used, I'm pretty sure people thought of this

However, that isn't the type of microphone that I think the item was intended to be. I think it is intended to appear more like this.

That is Ruby Rhod (I hope I got the pictures right) wearing a wireless stage microphone as well.

Which would follow what the description of the microphone already is. It is a very light (approximately 1KG) wireless microphone that is clipped to the belt in the back, with a wire running up the back under clothes to a face microphone. This is what actors and actresses wear on the stage, hence a "stage" microphone. And this is exactly what the physical description of the item is, including the clip for the belt.

Hence why I think the microphone was designed to be wearable to give a performance with your hands free, but somebody just forgot to code in coverage for face and back.

I dunno, I would have thought something similar but the item has no @messages set for it to be worn, if it were actually worn right now it would show up as a piece of cloth worn over whatever coverage was set. I dunno if it was just not intended to be worn and so the person who made it didn't set the coverage and left out the messages, or what.
Just wanna say thanks to Slither and staff for continuing to work on this game after all these years! Much appreciated by this chummer right here!
"You could interact (secure, ascend, descend, unsecure) hooks without breaking stealth. I've implemented changes across all the verbs so that interacting with grappling hooks breaks stealth."

But... why? Stealth rappelling is iconic.

* Mission: Impossible

* Mission: Impossible 2

* Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

* Tenet

* No Time to Die

Could we maybe instead have some advanced actions require passing a beefy stealth check (You don't think you'd be able to do that while sneaking.)?

There are quite a few things that seem like they could be comparably difficult to say, taking a sword out of someone's pocket while standing behind them in their apartment, but that would automatically break stealth now regardless of stats. It would make sense to me if there was some gradient there.

An actual stealth check seems reasonable.
From what I recall, there seems to be two kinds of stealth 'breakage'. One fully takes you out of stealth (walking e when you are hiding for example), which I call a hard break. The other drops you out of stealth for a brief moment (closing a door while hiding for example), which I call a soft break.

I personally think using hooks while stealthed is awesome and would prefer it if this was possible with enough skills/stats. This would be my first choice. However, it it's decided that's not okay, maybe go with a soft break instead of a hard break (if that's not already the case).

NPCS & EXTENDABLE BATONS

Maybe just adjust batons so they only have one state: extended. Then have the 'hold' and 'stash' messaging talk about flicking it out/in for flavor. Or make it so 'hold'ing the baton will automatically call the extend verb. I think that both options would remove any issues with NPCs. And PCs as a bonus (I suspect some players grew to hate batons because of this 'feature').

On the flip side, it also means that it would be impossible or hard to 'mess up' with your baton but I'm not sure if having two states, one of which means big trouble, is needed and of greater value than NPCs (or even PCs) being able to use them effectively. Opinions vary of course!

Hm. It seems that the newbie alert reveals the players’ OOC usernames via the bridge to the discord app.
