Now that we have more flexible items for jewelry and the like, we should add some similar things regarding, potentially, leather. No need for fancy tanneries and the like- You should be able to skin things like dogs, rats, cats, and bears for mammal leather that can be used as a tailoring material for clothes, reptile leather from dune dragons, and scorpion chitin that can be used for jewelry objects.

I was in the making of wanting write such a suggestion, so an obvious +1 from me.

My suggestion would also be a form of material called "Questionable Leather Material" that just so happens to comes pre-set in human skin colors.

Also yes to rat pelts. On top of this I think that more creepy Bone Ivory should be introduced as a type of jewelry kit at the Oddity shop. Rat pelts should probably also have a limit of 4 space coverage. Rats aren't THAT big.

BGBB etiquette reminder. Skin is not a useful topic name. I don't know what this thread is about from that title. Please, please, take some time when writing your titles.

I want to implement search in the future and topic titles will have a high precedence in that. We need titles to be informative.
