Those of us that came up in the Mix trained ourselves to spend our UE the moment we had enough to raise the next stat or skill. This could mean the difference between life and death.
There are some folks in the game that don't face life or death on a daily basis (lookin' at you, corpies). I've noticed that a bunch of folks in the game have tons of unspent UE. There are various reasons for this, and many of them are IC and acceptable. However, differentiating between those with good reasons for not spending their UE (nothing to spend it on because they don't have a stat or skill they are ICly developing) and those that are hoarding UE so they can become a bad ass overnight in whatever skill they need to survive some encounter, is difficult and time consuming.
I'm considering capping the amount of unspent UE a player can have at 250. At which point they would not accrue new ue until they spent below 250. This would mean that if you are at 250 unspent ue you are effectively not going to be granted anymore, until you are below 250.
This would seem to solve the issue of folks not spending their UE and then becoming bad ass, while at the same time letting folks that are less concerned about UE, not have to explain their actions to the admin.
