Catch
You're already holding that!

Can the catch command exclusively target objects external to the person's inventory, just as "get" does?

It's a little frustrating having to remember, on the fly, that I'm carrying similar objects in my inventory, and then need to figure out how many, so I can "catch 5th object", when there is only one of those objects I would actually need to catch in the first place.

This is a sensible request. I think, from a code perspective, it should be possible. Perhaps restricting it even further to items that are in the room and in a thrown state would be even better. Though, that can get a tad more complicated.

My only issue with this request is that it should probably have been in the Ideas form, as it's not just a complaint, it's also a solution :)

I've made this change, it will now only target items in the air. I think I covered all the use cases.
A little late to suggest a quality of life modification maybe, but could it be possible to just type 'catch' with no args to catch an item that has been thrown at your character?
Multiple things can be thrown at the same time so the specificity is important.
