Annapurna Interactive, the funder and publisher of some of the most award-winning independent video games, along with their in-house hand-picked development studio led by Chelsea Hash, have entirely resigned after failing to come to a deal on spinning off the company as independent from billionaire heiress Megan Ellison, daughter of Oracle founder and renowned scumbag Larry Ellison. I was super excited about their new studio especially with their first project Blade Runner 2033, and the loss of the publisher is tragic because they supported some of the most important games of the last decade, but in retrospect it can't be surprising that the corporate abuse and greed of the House of Oracle caused it to all fall apart.
