Our board includes support for 'IkonCode'. This lets you post links, highlight/color your text, etc.
Here's the skinny:
[ url = <hyperlink> ]Clickable Text[ / url ]
This turns into: Clickable Text
I show it above with spaces between everything so the board doesn't turn it into a link.
Including an image is similar:
[ img ]<hyperlink to image on web>[ / img ]
Again, this has extra spaces so it doesn't get turned into a real image.
This turns into: 
Images that are too big to fit in your post without breaking the forum page aren't allowed.
There are more IkonCode commands, just click the 'help' icon thats next to the post options when you go to make a post. The help window has a link at the bottom of it to 'Ikoncode Tags'. They aren't hard, just not easy to find in the help system.
