They do extremely low damage, I do not recommend going at someone with the intent to kill your opponent if they are using an actual weapon.
Sparring Sai - Short_blade
Pugil Stick - Melee
Sparring Gloves - Martial_arts
Boxing Gloves - Brawling
Sparring Sword - Long_Blade
You can tell your progress in a skill based on the consistently and access to different attacks, so it'll be clear if someone is better than you.
I priced them according to the convenience of not killing your friends and the absence of consistent and significant medical bills.
