Remove 'is' from @lp
And all its little dogs, too

Might just be a personal gripe, but I don't like that we have to use 'is' in @lp and its derivatives. It makes it harder to use active language in a concise way.

'Joe Baka stands here.' simply reads better to me than 'Joe Baka is standing here.
