Evictions to remove TVs and security
More wipes

So, I know some of the eviction process has been changed very recently but I've noticed that either a) that change doesn't apply retroactively b) it doesn't apply to a certain class of items.

I think if a pad goes into eviction and is reset, any monitors/televisions/whatever else as well as hubs should be wiped as well, this ICly being the landlord just removing it all. I have ran into multiple empty pads this past week that still had televisions in them for example which is for sure contributing to the issue with acquiring them IC right now.

As for security networks, imo it's self explanatory. I don't think any PC should be able to apartment lotto and inherit a security network they didn't set up at all.

Yeah, seriously, just dump them into the market. And ideally run a script to retroactively check all available flats and clean those out too, please.

Aside I don't hate just clearing all added furniture on eviction, the bloat of furniture in some places is pretty insane.

I've proposed this once before. Some agree, some heatedly argue against it.

I think it would do great to help the secure techs actually get the products they need to sell, and actually get work to do, since people aren't just getting legacy systems.

Some of these systems LITERALLY cannot be removed without staff assistance. So it's not even an IC option most of the time.

In Slither's apartment lotto fix post, he wrote that all security gear is intentionally left behind and maintains its original lock score for people to take out if they want. I don't personally have an issue with this at all, because the other installed items (furniture, artwork, etc) gets locked into the room permanently.
I remember ages ago when I had a character that would just rent places to steal the furniture. Now I wonder if I had contributed to the change.
With how rare televisions and certain security objects are, I'm not surprised if people are playing apartment lottery to get their hands on those things.
