It's possible to do this by just trashing the item, imitating its desc in a framed canvas, but what about something more formal where you can convert collectible items into permanent display frames? It would make the item unusable except to display, and keep the name of the person who originally crafted it so that it can't be duped.
This might add some interest for fixers who are always trying to offload unique products worn by players who are no longer alive.
