Sleeping

I went to sleep in a hotel - i think - (then did not log on for several days) and woke up in a coffin. My hotel was still paid for, I covered a least another few days  thru 7/30.

Did I screw up and log off someplace other than the hotel or did something else I should know about ICly or OOCly happen?

Wondering…

From time to time, mostly in the event of extended server downtime, we have a command that allows us to clear all sleeping players to the location set as their home. Once the server comes up the first admin on runs the street sweeper, moving anyone who was caught on the streets when the server went down, to a safe area until they can next log on.

Unfortunately, this at the moment moves -everyone- to a 'safe' location, that safe location being the public coffins (default home location for players)…

So, that's basically what happened. Everyone in the entire MOO was moved to the public coffins. Nothing was lost, if you had a hotel room or apartment it's still there waiting for you to pop back over.

Ideally the system could be better, but as long as it moves players to a safe place it's good enough for now. Nope, you can't currently set your home location...

And finally, why was it run on this occasion? Testing some code and it was triggered as a result. No server downtime, nothing lost, just an odd teleportation.

Enjoy.
