If I can see someone press the elevator button it should break stealth. Not sure if its already supposed to but it currently doesn't according to anecdotal evidence. If im some how mistaken on this please disregard.

Anytime I have tried to hide in an elevator the game tells me I can't so that is kind of weird.

You can call an elevator from the outside as well. And I do agree, punching in codes, calling lifts and other interactions with objects should break stealth.

You can see them press the button even though they are stealthed.
