Unable to log in at all.

hey, I wanted to try this out but I simply am not able to connect now. I made a character a week or so ago and logged out after creation. Now, I am not able to log in. My account page says I have no characters. I tried to create one with my profile but it refuses to let me. I tried to connect as a guest (with the webclient and MUDLET) but it says they are not allowed. I need some assistance... and does the characters become auto deleted if we don't login for a few weeks?

Unsure if there's a discord but someone can get into direct contact with me there in text IM or through steam.

Have a desire to get into a game like this but the issues from logging in and the sheer amount of 'homework' is really putting me off. Also new to playing MUDs, really.

Hi! Welcome to this exciting world of cyberpunk roleplaying!

I believe characters are deleted after six weeks of inactivity. So unless it's been six weeks, you should be able to do the following...

1. Go to https://play.sindome.org

2. Log in using your account, it an account login screen appears.

3. Fill in the connect info with your character name and password.

If you haven't changed your character's password, it should still be the same as the one in the email you received.

Sorry that doesn't work. Look at my captures... I have no character and cannot create one. The old e-mail I first got with a character name and password I logged in as and renamed them in character creation. Its gone now. I have no e-mails with a new character. Again, I cannot log in or make a character.... at all.

EDIT: I should mention I DID rename my original character this and use this password. For whatever reason they have been deleted. Was a week ago or two weeks ago I made them. Finished the initial character creation, booted to a room and an admin approved my character (I think that is how it was set up). Then before I went into the first room I read a crap ton of help files and stuff on the site which took me days. Tried to come back tonight and this happened. I had major issues logging in for the first time when I made them too.

I had the same issue when I was starting off. Turned out I was using the wrong character name! It was different from what I thought I had typed it as.

If you can get to the screen that last screenshot was taken on (the one where you tried to connect as a guest), try just typing:

CONNECT (character name) (password)

If that doesn't work, send an email to [email protected] asking for your character name and possibly a password reset. That's what I had to do.

Had you FINISHED Character Creation and been dumped into the game world? We cleanup characters that are abandoned in Character Generation much sooner than the 90 day reaper. I think we give folks just a week to finish char gen and then assume you went away. I'll track you down and generate a new char for you.

I do not know what happened or who helped me (presumably Johnny) but my character IS restored now and able to connect! However, my Sindome profile page says I have no characters linked to my account.

Use the "claim character" button that's on your website profile page to link the game character to the web profile.
