Clients

Place for some info on some alternatives to zMud and Pueblo.

I heard some rumor of a client called Tinkeri view www.tinkeri.com. FREE!!! Ansi able, fonts, but is having problems reading the MOO's @linelength.

For you Macheads, MudHaven. $10.00US. Though you can use it free for like..50 hours or something. Nicadeamus says, "Is worth it. stable as all get out. Lovely on the mac." Version 2 is in beta.

Give us more.

Note: Triggers, aliases, macros are frowned upon. There are some in-game. I believe by typing @macros you can find out more.

If, god forbid, anyone else out there is MOOing on a MAC, check out the MAC MOOing topic. Has a few other clients.
I tried using Tinkerview for a few days and was rather disappointed overall.  It has some nice features that I wish would be incorporated into Pueblo, but every time I used another application (word, excel, winamp, etc.) tinkerview would scroll down an entire page for no apparent reason. This was the primary problem I had with it, in addition to I just like the way Pueblo works instead being the secondary reason.
Blearg, Pueblo is one ugly client.

Take a looksee at Beipmu for a nice feature loaded client. Designed for MUSHing really but handles MOO's pretty well. Doesn't like MUD's tho. Only problems I've had with MOOing on Beip is the way the client removes blank lines from the output window, which sometimes clutters things up that should be nicely spaced out. Also has a habit of returning to the bottom of the window every time something new appears in the output window, making it a pain in the ass to read/tinker with backlog without first pausing the output window (Which makes it a most annoying client to try and program with).

For a tiny and tolerable client, try Gmud. No fancy features, nothing special, just a decent straight forward client. F1-F10 macros keys. Reasonable aliasing system. Inadequate trigger system. Chokes if large quantities of text are pasted to it, but otherwise a decent client.
