Your character will accumulate dirt and grime on their body over time and as they go about their business.
Most private residences, some workplaces and certain public services will provide you with the option to 'shower', sometimes for a price, in order to remove it.
If you wear an item in the shower, this will also remove blood from it. Afterwards, if the facilities permit it, you may 'dry' so you're not dripping wet. This also works on wet clothes.
Showering will also remove some smells from your body and if you are good enough at grooming yourself (your CHARISMA has hit a certain point), you may set a custom smell message (see @messages me) which will appear when squeaky clean.
